HbA1c Conversion Chart

 
An HbA1c test is used to measure glucose levels by calculating how much haemoglobin in the blood has become glycated (chemically bonded with glucose).1

HbA1c values have changed in the UK and are now reported as a measurement in mmol/mol instead of the percentage (%) previously given (your lab report may include the previous percentage value as well). To calculate your HbA1c levels in mmol/mol, make sense of the new units and compare these with old units and vice versa, use our conversion chart below.
