The FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor

A small, discreet sensor that is worn on the back of the upper arm and continuously measures the glucose concentration in the body's interstitial fluid day and night.φ The sensor updates the glucose result every minute and stores up to eight hours of glucose readings in 15 minute intervals. It can be worn for up to 14 days and is water-resistant so continues to work while you shower, swim or exercise.

*Please read the Terms & Conditions of Sale before purchasing.
IMPORTANT: The FreeStyle Libre 2 Flash Glucose Monitoring System is indicated for measuring interstitial fluid glucose levels in people (age 4 and older) with diabetes mellitus, including pregnant women. The FreeStyle LibreLink app and the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor are designed to replace blood glucose testing in the self-management of diabetes, including dosing of insulin.

The indication for children (age 4 - 12) is limited to those who are supervised by a caregiver who is at least 18 years of age. The caregiver is responsible for managing or assisting the child to manage the App and Sensor and also for interpreting or assisting the child to interpret Sensor glucose readings.

What is Flash Glucose Monitoring?

The FreeStyle Libre 2 system is a Flash Glucose Monitoring system. The FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor is worn on the back of the upper arm and continuously measures the glucose concentration in the body's interstitial fluid throughout the day, without the need for finger pricks.

What's the difference between interstitial fluid vs blood glucose?

Sensor glucose readings come from the interstitial fluid, a thin layer of fluid that surrounds the cells of the tissue below the skin and not from the blood.4
