Monitoring your diabetes should not be challenging2.

What is it?

The FreeStyle Libre system is accurate and consistent over 14 days without the need for finger prickinga,b or calibrations4.

How does it work?

To obtain a glucose reading, simply perform a quick, painlesse 1-second scan of your reader over the FreeStyle Libre sensor.

This easy scan gives you more information without the need for finger prickinga,b.

How is it used?

The FreeStyle Libre sensor is water-resistantand can be worn while bathing, showering, swimming or exercising1.

Glucose information at a glance1

The FreeStyle Libre sensor continuously measures glucose every minute and saves the glucose data. Scan the sensor at least every 8 hours for a full glycemic profile. The below data is displayed after a typical 1-second scan of the FreeStyle Libre reader via the sensor:

  • Glucose trend arrow1

Easy to spot ups, downs and night-time lows and see which way and how quickly glucose levels are changing.

  • Current glucose reading

You can get your current glucose reading by an easy scan of the FreeStyle Libre sensor.

  • Food and insulin notes1

Easy to add notes to track food, insulin use, exercise, and other events.

  • 8-hour glucose history1

Get the last 8 hours of glucose data.

LibreView

No more routine finger pricksa

A painlesse 1-second scan to get glucose levels.

Water-resistantf sensor

Worn for up to 14 days while you shower, bathe, swim or exercise1.

Convenient

Automatically captures glucose readings, making it easy to see ups, downs and night-time lows1.

Simple

Scan as often as you even, even scans through clothingg.

Rich Insights

With every scan you get your current glucose reading, the last 8 hours of glucose data, and an arrow showing the direction your glucose is headingh – giving you a full glycemic picture1.

How does flash glucose monitoring work?

Blood glucose meters take glucose readings from capillary blood with a finger prick5. Flash glucose monitoring systems are different. Scanning the FreeStyle Libre sensor with the reader measures the glucose levels from the interstitial fluid, a thin layer of fluid that surrounds the cells of the tissues in your skin2.

a. Scanning the sensor to obtain glucose levels does not require lancets.

b. Finger pricks are required if glucose readings do not match symptoms or expectations1.

c. For children aged 4-12, a caregiver at least 18 years old is responsible for supervising, managing, and assisting them in using the FreeStyle Libre system and interpreting its readings1.

d. In a study conducted by Abbott Diabetes Care, 99% of  patients surveyed (n=123) agreed that the FreeStyle Libre system would reduce the hassles of glucose monitoring3.

e. In a study conducted by Abbott Diabetes Care, 92% of patients surveyed (n=119) patients agree that it was painless or almost painless to apply the sensor3.

f. Sensor is water-resistant in up to 1 meter (3 feet) of water. Do not immerse longer than 30 minutes. Not to be used above 10,000 feet1.

g. The reader can capture data from the sensor when it is within 1 cm to 4 cm of the sensor1.

h. The Glucose Trend Arrow may not always appear with your reading.
