Start your Reader Update

Locate the UpdateFreeStyleLibre_248_159.exe file at the bottom left corner of this screen.

If your download did not begin automatically, click here to try again.

Click the UpdateFreeStyleLibre_248_159.exe file to start your Reader Update, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Update might take a few minutes.

After your Reader has been updated, click the "Finish" button on the screen.

Locate the UpdateFreeStyleLibre_248_159.exe file at the bottom of this screen.

If your download did not begin automatically, click here to try again.

Click "RUN" on the pop-up window at the bottom of your screen to start your Reader update and follow the on-screen instructions.

Update might take a few minutes.

After your Reader has been updated, click the "Finish" button on the screen.

Your download should begin automatically. Locate the UpdateFreeStyleLibre_248_159 file in top right corner of your browser, and double click the file to extract

If your download did not begin automatically, click here to try again.

When a dialog shows, click the "Open" button to run the extracted file in the Finder to start your Reader Update, and follows the on-screen instructions.

After your Reader has been updated, click the "Finish" button on the screen.

Tap 'System Status' > navigate down to the second screen > tap 'System Info'

Confirm that the Reader Version number is 2.4.8

Note:

i. Best time to update your Reader is when your current Sensor has ended and before you apply a new Sensor. After updating your FreeStyle Libre reader, it will be UNABLE to scan any Sensor you are currently wearing.

ii. If you use both the FreeStyle Libre reader and FreeStyle Librelink app, the glucose readings may vary if you don't update both.

iii. You can update the FreeStyle LibreLink app and continue to scan the active Sensor you are currently wearing.

iv. You will not be able to update the FreeStyle Libre reader software with a smartphone or tablet.
