You may be eligible for coverage for the FreeStyle Libre 2 system if you are:

Have been diagnosed with diabetes
Are a PEI resident as defined by the Drug Cost Assistance Act (PDF 400 KB)

Rely on an insulin pump or three or more daily injections of insulin to manage your diabetes
Coverage includes the FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. A free reader (where required) is available by contacting Libre customer service at 1-888-205-8296.
Two sensors can be dispensed from your pharmacy every 28 days (sensor wear time is 14 days). The maximum number of sensors you can be covered for each year is 26.
First, talk to your healthcare professional to get a prescription. If you qualify for reimbursement, your healthcare provider will submit a Special Authority request on your behalf. Upon approval of your request, your claim for the FreeStyle Libre 2 system will be processed like any other claim at the local pharmacy.
