Can the FreeStyle Libre systems* be used to make day-to-day therapy decisions for children and young people?

Yes. Children and young people can better understand the impact of their actions like food, exercise, and insulin on their glucose levels and make day-to-day therapy decisions (based on HCP recommendations) using the Libre systems; however, children and young people between the ages of 4 -12 using Libre 2 and Libre 3 sensors and children between 2 -12 using Libre 2 Plus and Libre 3 Plus require the supervision of a caregiver who is at least 18 years of age. The caregiver is responsible for managing or assisting the child to manage the Libre systems* and for interpreting or assisting the child to interpret readings.

* FreeStyle Libre systems refers to the FreeStyle Libre 2 and FreeStyle Libre 3 systems
