Why is there no alarm for severe low glucose?
The FreeStyle Libre 2 system offers a simplified alarm experience, similar to how FreeStyle Libre offers a simplified glucose monitoring experience. The FreeStyle Libre 2 system offers 3 optional alarms – high glucose, low glucose, and signal loss. FreeStyle Libre 2 system does not incorporate a fixed severe low alarm that cannot be disabled to provide users with the flexibility of choosing to enable optional alarms, if desired.
