The FreeStyle Libre 2 flash glucose monitoring system with new functionality includes optional real-time alarms available through the Reader: Low Glucose Alarm, High Glucose Alarm, Signal Loss Alarm. 

• Low Glucose Alarm - an alarm will notify you when your glucose falls below a level you set  
• High Glucose Alarm - an alarm will notify you when your glucose rises above a level you set  
• Signal Loss Alarm - an alarm will notify you when the glucose alarms you set are not available because your Sensor has lost communication (Bluetooth) with the Reader for 20 minutes 

The alarms are available on the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader.   

In addition, there have been a few updates to the user interface on the FreeStyle Libre 2 system including:  

• Removed Target Glucose Range configuration from the initial set-up menu 
• The Home Screen shows new sound/vibration status indicators, a new connection status indicator and removed the Reminder bell icon. 
• The Settings menu includes a new item for Alarms and Reminders; the Settings menu has been reordered to keep Alarms separate from Target Range. 
• The Sounds Setting menu has updated labels for sound and vibration; the Sounds Settings menu has been reordered to separate sound and vibration.
