FAQs
Your sensor is designed to stay in place for its full wear duration. If it ever loosens early, it’s usually due to skin issues or bumping into things. Residual oils on the skin, sweat from intense movement, or the sensor getting knocked or tugged during daily activity might cause it to loosen.
If loosening happens or feels like it isn’t secure, we’re here to help.
If your sensor falls off or if you LibreLink app displays a “Replace Sensor” message before the expected wear time ends, please reach out to Customer Service—we’re here to help.
Complete the quick online sensor support request form here Sensor Support Request or contact our Customer Care Team at 1800 2100 998. We’ll help you troubleshoot your sensor issues and ensure you don’t encounter the same problem in the future.
FreeStyle Libre sensor can be exposed to common electrostatic (ESD) and electromagnetic interference (EMI), including airport metal detectors.
However, some airport full-body scanners include millimeter radio-wave, which you cannot expose your sensor to. The extent of these scanners has not been evaluated and the exposure may damage the sensor or cause inaccurate results. To avoid removing your sensor, you may request another type of screening. If you do choose to go through a full-body scanner, you must remove your sensor. If in doubt about the type of security scan you are passing through, notify the Security Officer prior to proceeding through the airport security checkpoint.
This may mean that your sensor was already started by another device. Both the reader and app can only be used with a sensor that it started. Try checking your glucose with the device that started it or apply and start a new sensor.
Your FreeStyle Libre sensor runs continuous quality checks, and it has shut itself down for your safety. After you have received this message please apply and start a new sensor to continue monitoring your glucose.
