Do not ignore symptoms that may be due to low or high blood glucose. If you have symptoms that do not match the Sensor glucose reading or suspect that your reading may be inaccurate, check the reading by conducting a finger stick test using a blood glucose meter. If you are experiencing symptoms that are not consistent with your glucose readings, consult your health care professional.

Can the FreeStyle Libre system be used to make day-to-day therapy decisions for children and young people?

Yes. Children and young people can better understand the impact of their actions like food, exercise, and insulin on their glucose levels and make day-to-day therapy decisions (based on HCP recommendations) using the FreeStyle Libre system; however, children and young people between the ages of 4 -12 require the supervision of a caregiver who is at least 18 years of age. The caregiver is responsible for managing or assisting the child to manage the FreeStyle Libre system and for interpreting or assisting the child to interpret readings.1
