FreeStyle Libre 2 has all of FreeStyle Libre’s features, with the addition of optional real-time glucose alarms. There are three optional, real-time glucose alarms that are available through the FreeStyle Libre 2 phone app and reader. There is a Low Glucose Alarm, High Glucose Alarm and Signal Loss alarm. The FreeStyle Libre 2 system is indicated for  use in patients age 4 years and up. 

*For children aged 4-12, a caregiver at least 18 years old is responsible for supervising, managing, and assisting them in using the FreeStyle Libre system and interpreting its readings.
