What are the differences between the LibreLink app and the reader?

  • Real-time alerts: Through compatible mobile devices, the LibreLink app can immediately notify users when their sugar levels are too low or too high.
  • Data sharing: Reports from the LibreLink app can be shared directly from your phone. If using a reader, you can connect to your computer via USB and upload data.
  • Chart viewing: The charts displayed by the application have richer colors and higher resolution. The reader, on the other hand, uses a simpler color touchscreen.
  • Notes feature: The application allows you to add or view notes in the log at any time. The reader, on the other hand, requires notes to be added within 15 minutes of scanning.
  • Text-to-speech function: If this function is enabled in the application, you can hear the sugar value, measurement unit and trend arrow after each scan.
  • Reporting Functionality: Both the reader and the app use the same calculation method to generate glucose reports. Compared to the reader, the app's reports offer more colors, more detailed information, and interactive features. It can also display A1c predictions and basic statistics for the past 24 hours.
  • Reminder Feature: The app allows you to easily set personalized reminders and includes an 8-hour timer that automatically resets after a scan. Please ensure that app notifications are enabled on your phone to receive reminders.
  • Other features: The reader has a dedicated slot for test strips, which can not only directly scan the sensor, but also measure blood glucose levels.
