What it may mean

This message means the sensor and app or reader could not communicate with each other. This usually happens when the device is not close enough to the sensor when you scan.

What you can do

Hold your reader or app against the sensor.

For Apple phone users, hold the top edge of the phone against the sensor.

For Android phone users, hold the back of the phone against the sensor.

For Reader users, hold the Reader within 4 cm (1.5 inches) of the Sensor. Bring the screen of the Reader close to the Sensor.
