Accessibility Statement for FreeStyle

Abbott is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with diabetes. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.



MEASURES TO SUPPORT ACCESSIBILITY

Abbott takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of FreeStyle:

  • Provides continual accessibility training for our staff
  • Assigns clear accessibility targets and responsibilities
  • Ensures readily available accessible alternatives
  • Will continually address the need and adhere to accessibility standards


CONFORMANCE STATUS

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for Content writers, designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with diabetes. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA and Level AAA.

  • Currently FreeStyle is non conformant with WCAG 2.0 Level AA

Non conformant means that the content does not conform to the WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standard.
Please note that we are currently working on becoming WCAG 2.0 Level AA conformance by March 31, 2021 to better serve our clientele.
