Below is some additional information with common questions about the FreeStyle Libre 14 day system during this time.

 

1) Can I still fill my FreeStyle Libre 14 day system prescription?

At this time, there is no impact on the availability of FreeStyle products. Most pharmacies* remain open and may offer services such as home delivery. In addition, mail order suppliers are continuing their operations and customer shipments. Please contact your local pharmacy or mail order supplier for more information if you have questions.

 

2) Will I still be able to use the FreeStyle LibreLink & LibreLinkUp apps?

The FreeStyle LibreLink & LibreLinkUp Apps will continue to work without interruption, and they can help you manage your condition remotely and connect with family and caregivers.

 

3) I've postponed my routine doctor's appointment due to COVID-19. Can I still share my glucose data with my doctor without going into the office?

Yes, you can share your data from the comfort of your own home. LibreView§ allows you to share glucose data with your healthcare professional, if you wish. To learn more about setting up LibreView§, please click here.

 

4) Can I use the FreeStyle Libre 14 day system if I am hospitalized?

People with diabetes who are hospitalized during the COVID-19 pandemic and able to scan their sensor can use the FreeStyle Libre 14 day system to monitor their diabetes. For more information about hospital use and safety information, please click here.

 

5) What should I keep in mind if I'm taking vitamin C supplements during the COVID-19 outbreak?

Per the instructions on the label of the FreeStyle Libre 14 day system, taking Vitamin C supplements while wearing the sensor may falsely raise sensor glucose readings. If you suspect that your reading may be inaccurate, conduct a fingerstick test with a blood glucose meter.
